The medical department of Pune Division is under the control of Chief Medical Superintendent (CMS) who is controlled by Chief Medical Director (CMD), Central Railway stationed at Mumbai CST.
D. K. Gupta is the Chief Medical Superintendent of the Divisional Railway Hospital, CR, Pune.He is assisted by a team of 15 doctors in the division and Para-medical staff which include 18 nurses, 07 pharmacists, 01 lab superintendent, 01 radiographer, 15 health inspectors and other para medical (80 - sanctioned strength; 74 on roll) and conservancy staff.
The activities of medical department are clinical and health related activities.

Routine and emergency medical aid is provided 24 Hrs. with the help of 50 bedded Divisional Hospital located at Pune and Health Units located at Ghorpuri, Satara & Miraj and lock up dispensaries at Jejuri, Nira & Kolhapur.
The team of doctors includes one physician, one surgeon, one gynecologist, and one Ophthalmologist.
Tertiary medical care is provided through Government hospital and one recognized hospital (K. E. M. Hospital, Pune)
Emergency services for accidents.
