DMM/EA to DRM is the Officer in charge of store branch of Solapur Division.
DMM purchases Stock/Non-stock items urgently required by the Branch Officers costing up to 1 Lakh per case as per SOPGEN Para No.2.07 (1) & up to 3 Lakh per case for items required for the purchase of train operation rolling stock maintenance, passenger amenity items, items required for ART & ARMU, cleanliness, touch and feet items etc. as per SOP Para 2.01 (4). Spot purchase are done for items urgently required by division with approval of ADRM/SUR.
Permanent way scrap generation and condemned rolling stock is also closely monitored by DMM and all efforts are made to achieve the target.
Timely supply of uniforms to the eligible staff of the division and timely supply of the stationery items to the branch officers also.
JURISDICTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
ØSupply of uniforms to 7900 Nos. of eligible staff of the Division.
ØMonitoring the scrap mobilization by co-ordinating with Engineering, Mechanical & other Departments.
ØPurchase through Limited Tender, quotation, Bulletin & Spot Purchase.
ØMonitoring the distribution of K.Oil/HSD oil in division through AMM/KWV.
ØMonitoring the supply of Stationery items/Books & Forms in the Division.
ØAssisting BOs in supply of imprest stores in the Division through feeding depots and chasing the urgent non-stock items required by the division with COS/CSTM.
ØCollection and distribution of Scheduled Imprest items (Sanitary/cleaning items etc.) all over Division.
ØIdentity the needs of the consignee and advise the best suitable material/logistic solution to fulfill the requirements of the ultimate customers.
The DMM/SUR co-ordinates with Engineering, Mechanical & other departments for mobilization of P.Way scrap, condemned Rolling Stock and other Scrap.

DIVISIONAL STORES DEPOT, KURDUWADI:
Recently KWV Stores Depot has been converted and re-designated as Divisional Stores Depot for Solapur Division and the administrative control of this depot has been transferred to DMM/SUR, which was earlier with DY.CMM/PR. The items which are to be stocked in this depot for divisional use, being identified. The following activities have already been identified for Divisional Store Depot.:-
·KEROSENE OIL DISTRIBUTION-
The annual consumption of Kerosene Oil in the Division is approx. 1,00,428 liters. The procurement of KOil is done by COS/CSTM and stocking is done at AMM/KWV, who arranges the distribution of K.Oil in the division, and it is monitored by DMM/SUR.
·HSD OIL DISTRIBUTION-
The annual consumption of HSD Oil in the Division is approx. 2,36,080 liters. The procurement of HSD is done by COS/CSTM and stocking is done at AMM/KWV, who arranges the distribution of HSD Oil in the division, and it is monitored by DMM/SUR.
·STATIONERY / BOOKS & FORMS-
AMM/KWV is the stationery-stocking sub-depot for Solapur Division. Books & Forms required for division is indented and collected by the concerned departments. These stationery items are collected from Byculla depot either through SDV (Store Delivery Van) and stocking is done at AMM/KWV.
At Divisional level, Local Purchase is arranged after obtaining ADRM’s approval for stock and non-stock items valued up to 1,00,000/- respectively in each ase through Weekly Bulletin Tenders. However, in case of urgency, purchase through quotation is also being done. In order to reduce the purchase cycle lead time, weekly bulletin tenders are uploaded on websites (www.cr.indianrailway.gov.in) instead of sending bulletin enquiries to registered sources.
The purchase of non-stock items valued up to 3,00,000/- are arranged through limited tender and on line DGS&D Rate Contract.
The Local purchase module of MMIS is fully implemented in SUR Division.
UNIFORM CELL -
Uniform cell is functioning under the supervision of one CDMS, one Tailor and two Class-IV staff. They are vested with responsibility of monitoring and timely submission of Uniform Indents to Dy. CMM (G) CRD. The cut cloth is collected and distributed to consignee of Solapur Division. The cut garments received from Currey Road Depot, Mumbai are properly packed in transparent plastic bag with label and finally stacked in plastic bins/pallets in Uniform Cell.
