Achievements
of ACCOUNTS OFFICE, MUMBAI DIVISION for the month of MAY 2022 is as under:-
A) Finance
Section:-
Due
to thorough scrutiny of financial Proposals, Indents & Estimates, savings
to the tune of Rs. 6.99 crores have been
achieved.
Ř Major Savings:
Ř Savings
of Rs.1.36 crores achieved, the abstract estimate for
the work ‘Provision of BPAC in left over 21 block sections in Mumbai Division’
was sanctioned on IRPSM for Rs. 6,98,82,089.59 chargable to RRSK.
But the detailed
estimate was prepared by the Department amounting to Rs. 8,34,28,357.53.
This office returned the detailed
estimate since this was a work sanctioned as Umbrella work and as per extant
rules, no excess
over sanctioned cost
is permissible for umbrella works. The Department therefore revised the
detailed estimate to 6,98,75,735.06 by reducing number
of block sections to be covered under this work.

E) Achievements:

Section:- An amount of Rs.
26.46 Lakh has been recovered from ON Account Bills
of contractors during the month of May 2022 on account of deduction of penalty,
bill charges, vetting charges etc.
Ř
Establishment
Section:- This office has discussed the matter with all concerned departments such
as Personnel, EDP & Operating and arranged a meeting for the implementation
of CMS with IPAS in which necessary
decisions were made and
the same are materialised successfully to implement the integration of Crew
Management System with IPAS.
Thus this office had taken a lead in implementation of CMS with IPAS in
Mumbai Division and would ensure continuous improvement with coordination of
all concerned departments.
Assistance Required from HQ:-

As against
9 sanctioned posts of ASVs only two posts of ASV are being operated. Vacancies
of ASVs (7 posts) required to be filled up urgently for stock verification and
witnessing of scarp sale.
