Central Railway Rolls Out 14 Additional AC Local Services to Beat the Heat
In a significant boost to passenger comfort, Central Railway is set to introduce 14 new air-conditioned local train services on the Main Line starting April 16, 2025. This enhancement will increase the total number of AC services on the Main Line from 66 to 80 on weekdays, offering a more comfortable travel experience to passengers during Mumbai's intense weather conditions.
The new AC services will replace existing non-AC services, maintaining the total suburban service count at 1,810 daily. These services will operate Monday through Saturday, with corresponding services continuing to run with non-AC rakes on Sundays and designated holidays.
