Central Railway Ensures Special Arrangements for comfortable and hassle-free travel during Ganpati Festival Season
Indian Railways has announced 380 Ganpati Special train trips till date for 2025, for devotees and passengers during Ganpati Festival Season.
Central Railway is operating the highest number of 306 services to various destinations like, Madgaon, Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri, Khed, Chiplun, Pune, Nagpur etc, addressing the heavy festive travel demand in Maharashtra and the Konkan region.
Special Trains for Ganpati festival have commenced from 22.08.2025 and Central Railway is taking extra efforts to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free travel for its passengers. 

Special arrangements have been made as under:
1. Officers have been deputed at CSMT, Dadar, LTT, Thane & Panvel stations for monitoring duty from 22.08.25 to 30.08.25.
2. Commercial Inspectors have been deputed at CSMT, Dadar, LTT, Thane & Panvel stations for Ganpati Rush Management.
3. Around 180 Ticket checking staff have been deployed round the clock for crowd control at CSMT, Dadar, LTT, Thane & Panvel stations from 22.08.25 to 30.08.25.
4. Additional ticket checking staff have been deputed round the clock at Chinchpokli & Currey Road stations.  
5. 30 Mobile-UTS systems have been distributed for additional ticketing facilities at Chinchpokli,  Currey Road, Byculla, Parel,  Dadar, Cotton Green,  Vadala Road, Thane, Panvel stations.
6. Mobile-UTS & UTS App promotion team will be deployed for ten days from 27.08.25 at Chinchpokli, Currey Road, Byculla, Parel,  Dadar, Cotton Green stations
7. Two additional UTS windows each will be opened from 27.08.25 at Chinchpokli & Currey Road stations
8. .Additional Facilitators will be deputed at Chinchpokli,  Currey Road, Byculla, Parel,  Dadar, Cotton Green, stations.
9. Ganpati Special trains Banners & standees have been displayed at prominent locations at CSMT, Dadar, Thane, LTT, Diva, Kalyan & Panvel.
10. Wide publicity of Ganpati special trains are being given through print & social media.
11. Chief Commercial Inspector (Announcer) will be available at Central Announcer room for monitoring regular announcements.
Passengers can also obtain details of Ganpati Special Trains at station enquiry counters or can visit www.enquiry.indianrail.gov.in or download NTES App.
The detailed schedule of special trains is also available o­n the IRCTC website, RailOne app, and computerized PRS.
Central Railway remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and convenient travel experiences to passengers, especially during festivals when demand is significantly higher.
