 “Nanded-Mumbai 'Vande Bharat Express' Opens the Door to Marathwada’s Prosperity”

Nanded-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express flagged off by Hon’ble Chief Minister 
“The government is focusing o­n enhancing rapid transportation to uplift the Marathwada region. With the introduction of the Vande Bharat Express, Nanded has now come closer to the state capital, Mumbai, and this certainly opens the door to Marathwada’s prosperity”, expressed Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis.
The Nanded-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express was flagged off from Nanded railway station. The Hon’ble Chief Minister flagged off the train virtually (through video conferencing) from the Mantralaya. The programme held at Mantralaya was attended by Smt. Meghna Bordikar Sakore, Hon’ble Minister of State for Public Health, Shri Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway and other Senior Officers of Central Railway.
The Chief Minister stated: “Under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Indian Railways is transforming. The Made in India Vande Bharat train, which offers world-class, comfortable facilities similar to developed countries, is a symbol of that transformation. The 610 km journey from Mumbai to Nanded will now be completed in just 9 hrs 30 mins.  Earlier, the train used to run o­nly up to Jalna, but now it has been extended  to Hazur Sahib Nanded. The train’s passenger capacity has increased from 500 to 1,440 and the number of coaches has risen from 8 to 20.”
Nanded is an important pilgrimage site for the Sikh community. Hence, devotees and passengers visiting Nanded will now experience a faster and more comfortable journey via the Vande Bharat Express. The Chief Minister also congratulated the people of Marathwada for this safe, faster and pleasant travel experience.
The program held at  Nanded was attended by Hon’ble Members of Parliament Shri Ashok Chavan and Dr. Ajit Gopchhade, Hon’ble MLA Shri Vikram Kale, Additional General Manager, South Central Railway, Shri Satya Prakash, Divisional Railway Manager, Nanded Division, Shri Pradeep Kamle,  District Collector Shri  Rahul Kardile, Nanded Range Deputy Commissioner of Police Shri Shahaji Umap, Superintendent of Police Shri Abhinash Kumar and other dignitaries and Senior Officers of South Central Railway.
