Railways extend the imposition of fine for not wearing masks – 20,910 cases detected and penalized o­n Central Railway in last six months

Railways have decided to extend the validity of imposition of fine of Rs.500/- o­n all persons not wearing face mask/cover in railway premises including trains upto 16.4.2022. This rule is already in force to contain the spread of Covid-19 and help control the Covid-19.

Special teams of Central Railway ticket checking personnel detected 20,910 cases of passengers not wearing mask and realized an amount of Rs.35.28 lakhs as fine for the period from 17.04.2021 to 03.10.2021.

Central Railway appeals to the passengers to follow all norms mandated for Covid-19.
