5 employees of Central Railway felicitated with General Manager's Safety Award
Shri Naresh Lalwani, General Manager Central Railway gave away “General Manager’s Safety Award” to 5 Central Railway staff i.e. one from Mumbai, two from Pune and Solapur Divisions. The awards were given in appreciation of their alertness during duty, their contribution in averting untoward incidents and ensuring safety in train operations during the month of February 2023 in a function held at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai on 14.03.2023. The award consists of a medal, commendation certificate, a citation of exemplary safety work and a cash award of ₹ 2000/-.
Shri Lalwani appreciated the alertness of the staff who were being awarded and mentioned that they are exemplary role models for everyone to emulate. The employees awarded displayed their great zeal and commitment towards safe running of trains in various areas of safety such as detection of trolley crack, detection of sparkling in wheel, hot axles and timely informing about spark & smoke in passing train. Central Railway is proud of all the awardee employees who with their prompt action and alertness helped to avert the possibility of any untoward incidence. The five GM’s safety awardees were Mr. Mahendra Shelke, Motor Man of Mumbai Division, Mr D K Mourya Loco Pilot Passenger and Mr Pankaj Kadekar, Station Manager from Pune Division and Mr Rajnesh Ranjan Loco Pilot Goods and Mr Rajesh Wadia Technician from Solapur Division.
Shri Alok Singh, Additional General Manager, Shri D Y Naik, Principal Chief Safety Officer, Shri Mukul Jain, Principal Chief Operations Manager, Shri N P Singh, Principal Chief Electrical Engineer, Shri Sunil Kumar, Principal Chief Mechanical Engineer and other Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway were present on the occasion and Divisional Railway Managers of all the Divisions joined the event virtually.
