General Manager/Central Railway inaugurates New RPSF (Railway Protection Special Force) barrack & laid foundation stone for the new Administrative Building for RPSF 12th Battalion at Thakurli (Near Kalyan)

Shri Naresh Lalwani, General Manager Central Railway inaugurated the newly constructed RPSF barrack and laid foundation stone for the construction of New Administrative Building at a function organized at the Bara Banglow Area, Thakurli o­n 11.08.2023.

The newly constructed four floor RPSF barrack has the capacity to house 341 RPSF Personnel of 12th Battalion and has facilities like-
-Recreation room -Conference cum -Counselling Hall
-Advanced weapon stimulator room
-Gymnasium
-Kitchen and Dining hall
-Library
-Computer Cell
-Record Room

-This new comfortable barrack apart from boosting the morale of the force can prove useful in case of any eventuality since it can accommodate enough force for providing required manpower. 

Shri Naresh Lalwani also laid foundation stone for the new Administrative Building for the 12th Battalion of RPSF. This  Building will have Control room, store room, Office of MTO, Adjutant and Asst. Commandants etc. 

The 12th Battalion of Railway Protection Special Force with Motto of 'तपसा शौर्यसंधानम्' ("Tapasya shaurya sandhanam" means worship of courage and arms) has been raised at Thakurli near Kalyan by the Ministry of Railways in the year 2005, in the sprawling area of 67 acres land.
The concept of Battalion Headquarters, Thakurli is to render security covers in Central Railway & Western Railway basically and in Indian Railways as and when required. Around 200 Officers & Jawans are always available in the Battalion Headquarters for the purpose of training & refreshers course.
 
Along with GM/CR Shri. Naresh Lalwani, AGM/CR shri. Alok Singh, Shri Sumati Shandilya, Principal Chief Security Commissioner/Railway Protection Special Force/ New Delhi, Shri Ajoy Sadany, Principal Chief Security Commissioner/Central Railway, Shri Vivek Kumar Gupta, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction)/CR and Shri Rajnish Kumar Goyal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai division and other Senior Officers from Headquarters and Mumbai division were also present.
