General Manager Central Railway inspected Kalyan Yard Remodelling work
Shri Naresh Lalwani General Manager Central Railway along with Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division Shri Rajnish Kumar Goyal inspected Kalyan Yard Remodelling work at Kalyan and inspected surrounding area of Kalyan Station on 07.09.2023.
Shri Naresh Lalwani also inspected Kalyan AC Electric Loco Shed and Kalyan Railway Station and surrounding area.
In the Kalyan Yard Shri Naresh Lalwani inspected Kalyan yard for Segregation of Long distance and suburban trains for South East and North East direction and Unification of goods Yard.
Current Status of Kalyan Yard Remodelling work is as under:
The project is aimed at Construction of 4 new Coaching platforms in Kalyan goods Yard for segregation of Mail/Express and Suburban local trains’ traffic.
Contract for “Earthwork, Minor Bridges & Miscellaneous Civil Works” has been awarded. Works of Drain & Boundary wall, Earthwork in formation work for Phase one for Goods line is in progress. Approx. 50% of work is completed.
Contract for “Relocation of Affected Service Buildings & Quarters” has been awarded. Construction work of service buildings which are coming in the alignment of proposed track in progress. Out of 10 service buildings, works of 8 buildings are in progress in which foundations work in 8 buildings are completed.
Contract for track related works has been awarded. Dismantling is in progress and approx. 90 % of dismantling completed.
After Kalyan Yard inspection Shri Naresh Lalwani inspected Kalyan AC Electric Loco Shed, Kalyan.
