Mumbai division is planning to Develop & operate Sleeping Pods (Pod Hotel) on 'Built, Operate and Transfer' basis at Matheran station
An open online tender through E-AUCTION has been published and will be opened on 25/09/2023. It will be under Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) Earning model, for construction of new pod hotel (sleeping pods) at Matheran.
The proposed Sleeping pods (Pod Hotel) will have all necessary and modern
amenities. Licensee may provide in house pantry services exclusively for
occupants/users of Sleeping pods (Pod Hotel). Licensee may construct and use lift for
convenience of sleeping pod users subject to feasibility and approval of competent
authority. Licensee is also permitted to develop sleeping pod/Swiss cottage tent or any other type of tents rooms/house or cottage, arrange guide facilities/trekking activities for occupants.
Development & operation of Sleeping Pods at the Railway station shall be sole
responsibility of the licensee and the entire cost for the same shall be borne by the
licensee. The cost of erecting structures, sleeping pod related items, lockers 8& other necessary amenities, security of sites and operation by engaging manpower,
maintenance, cabling, fabrication, electricity consumption charges, electricity deposit,
electrical connection etc. & other incidental expenses incurred for Sleeping Pods are to be borne by the Licensee contractor.
The Licensee will construct Sleeping Pods as per location's requirements. For this purpose, he will submit a detailed layout plan/GAD (general drawing) for necessary approval from
competent authority within 15 days from the date of signing of Bid statement.
Total area is 758.77 square meters.
Reserve price is confidential and market will decide the price as per potential.
Bidders have to register in IREPS portal of the railways in order to bid in the E-AUCTION Module on 25/09/2023 decided auction date. Results and LOA (Letter of allocation) to successful bidder will be declared online on same day of auction on 25/09/2023.
E-AUCTION is an innovative new online system of commercial earning contract tenders, through which online auctions are conducted for 30 to 60 minutes and it's bid allocation result and letter are issued online on same day.
