
Prime Minister distributes 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits under Rozgar Mela.
Central Railway gives appointment letters to 492 newly inducted appointees
Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister distributed about 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits on 28th October, 2023 at 1.00 pm. During the ceremony, appointment letters were handed over to newly inducted appointees at 37 places across the country. Related Railway Zones and other Ministries which were a part of the recruitment drive also joined the function via video conferencing.
Congratulating the candidates for getting appointment letters today, the Prime Minister remarked that this is the opportunity to contribute to the development of the country while the Nation moves ahead with the goal of becoming a developed India by 2047. He urged the new appointees to not pause their learning process and advised them to upgrade their skills by joining the online learning platform “Karmyogi”.
492 newly inducted appointees were given appointment letters either physically or electronically at Mumbai, Pune and Nagpur on Central Railway.

Renu Sharma, Principal Chief Personnel Officer and Shri Rajnish Kumar Goyal, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, Central Railway, gave away appointment letters to candidates in Mumbai.
At Pune Division Shri Raosaheb Dadarao Patil Danve, Union Minister of State for Railways Coal and Mines in the august presence of Shri Sunil Kamble Hon’ble MLA Pune Cantonment, Shri Rana Jagjit Singh Hon’ble MLA Osmanabad and Smt. Indu Dubey, Divisional Railway Manager Pune Division gave away appointment letters to candidates in Pune
At Nagpur Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways in the august presence of Shri P. S. Khairkar and Shri Piyush Chandekar, Additional Divisional Railway Managers of Nagpur Division Central Railway and Shri Shrikant Chandrikapure, Additional Divisional Railway Manager South East Central Railway, Nagpur Division gave away appointment letters to candidates in Nagpur.
Rozgar Mela will be held at 37 locations across the country. The recruitments are taking place across Central Government Departments as well as State Governments/UTs supporting this initiative. The new recruits, selected from across the country will be joining the Government in various Ministries/Departments including Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others.
Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilment of the commitment of the Prime Minister to accord highest priority to employment generation. Rozgar Mela is expected to act as a catalyst in further employment generation and provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their empowerment and participation in national development.
The newly inducted appointees are also getting an opportunity to train themselves through Karmayogi Prarambh, an online module on iGOT Karmayogi portal, where more than 750 e-learning courses have been made available for ‘anywhere any device’ learning format.
