Reduction in Accidents

1.1       There has nil train accident (Railway Board) during the current year, in comparison with one train accidents (RB) during the last year i.e. 2014-15.  There is 100% reduction in train accidents (RB).

1.2       There has been 01 Yard (HQ) accident during the current year as comparison with 02 accidents during the last year. There is 50% reduction in Yard accidents.

1.3       To prevent accident in yards, intensive counseling has been done by the Safety Team in all yards. Ambush/surprise checks are carried out to check the proper procedures of Shunting movements. Engineering deficiencies are brought into the notice of engineering department and it is ensured that these are attended immediately. It is targeted to cover all yards of the division once a month in day and night.

2.Safety Organization organized 04 Safety Drives, 08 Seminars, and issued 04 Safety Audit during 2015-16.
