i) Renovation of pneumatic section has been carried out by removing 15 to 20 Years old pneumatic test benches. This will improve the testing quality of pneumatic valve and provide a better working environment in section.



ii) Rain testing facility for water leakage test of Electric Locomotives has been developed and commissioned at Inspection shop. To detect the leakage in Locos to avoid line failure due to water ingress inside locomotives. Leakage testing has been completed o­n all locos of Electric Loco Shed, Kalyan.

iv) Relay Base Testing Jig: Checking of PC-8 relay base socket with the help of local make testing jig to avoid the mismatching of plug in top pin during run. o­ne cycle completed in all locomotives. The arising of relay base becomes Nil during the year. 



v) Relay Pin Testing Jig: Checking of PC-8 relay pin with the help of local make testing jig to avoid the mismatching of plug in top pin during run. o­ne cycle completed in all locomotives. The arising of PC-8 relay becomes Nil during the year. 


vi) Transposition of Power Cable during AOH/IOH : Shed has taken the initiation for transposition of power cables from TFP to RSI during major schedule to avoid the over heating of power cables. Till date 75 Locos has been completed. 



viii)TM 2&5 Cable cleat modification o­n WAG-7 Locos: Non Modified: In WAG-7 Locos transferred from ELS AQ/BSL, there were several cases of Traction Motor power cables got damaged inside cleat. o­n investigation it was noticed that all 04 TM cables passing through a single cleat getting pressed, resulting insulation damaged. Shed has modified these TM cable cleats providing o­ne additional cleat and separate two cable each from individual cleat. 

b) TM 2&5 Cable cleat modification on WAG-7 Locos: Modified



x)Additional Locking Arrangement for retaining Horizontal keeper pin of Nose suspension mounting for TM: Shed has already provided additional locking arrangement for retaining horizontal keeper pin to avoid the falling down of vertical pins of nose suspension mounting for TM. 



xi)There are 4 cases of pivot pin bolt breakage of clamping plate in pivot pin of WAG-7 Locos. To avoid such problem two additional bolts have been provided by drilling and tapping in pivot pin housing & clamping plate (As existing in new WAG-7 locomotive of 277xx series o­nwards manufactured by CLW). After provision of these additional two bolts no failure have been observed.
