     1.1.1 SOLAPUR DIVISION PRESENTLY CONSIST OF:

               B.G. Line:   1042.192  Route Kms          

     1.1.2 HERITAGE:

  a)     G.I.P. Railways                : Pune to Gangapur Rd & Daund to Manmad

  b)     Nizam State Railways     : Gangapur Road to Wadi

  c)     Barsi Light Railways        : Miraj-Kurduwadi-Latur

1.1.3  MILESTONES:

a)

1858-1870

:

Pune-Wadi Main Line was constructed.

b)

1878

:

Daund-Manmad Main Line was constructed.

c)

1906-1911

:

Barsi Light Railway was constructed.

d)

1914

:

Daund-Baramati N.G.Line was constructed.

e)

1970

:

Pune-Daund section was doubled.

f)

1970

:

SDB-WD Section was doubled.

g)

1988-1989

:

Shahabad-Gulbarga section was doubled.

h)

1994

:

Daund-Baramati Line was converted into B.G.

i)

1999

:

Solapur-Hotgi section was doubled in 1997-1999.

Kurduwadi- Pandharpur Line was converted into BG.

Daund - Bhigwan section was doubled in 2002.

Latur - Latur Road New BG Section commissioned in Dec- 2003

Latur - Osmanabad Gauge Conversion section commissioned in Aug -2007.
