Gateway of India

Elephanta Caves

Sainagar Shirdi -

Shirdi is best known as the late 19th century home of the popular guru Shirdi Sai Baba. Central Railway runs trains for devotes to visit this holy shrine which is a 10-minute walk from Sainagar shirdi railway station.

 

Solapur -

Solapur is known for its historical, religious, industrial and commercial importance. Ground Fort, Siddheshwar Temple, Mallikarjuna Temple, Parasnath Temple, Adinath Temple, Masjids, Churches and Agyari are the attractions of this place. 
 
Akkalkot is considered to be an important center of Datta. The Vatavriksha Temple of Shri Swami Samartha and Akkalkot Swami math are important religious places, which are visited by many devotees. Phandharpur the city of Pandhavi Vithoba is another most important pilgrimage center for the whole of India. It ranks first among the fairs in the state with an aggregate congregation of four to five lakh on Ashadhi and Kartiki Ekadasi.

Pune -

Pune the cultural capital of Maharashtra much can be attributed to the majestic history of this place, which has given the country leaders like Shivaji and Lokmanya Tilak. Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar, located in the Sahyadris, are quaint, pretty places for a relaxing few days. Mahabaleshwar Hill Station is a tourist spot which is located approximately 252 km from Mumbai via Pune and 225 km via Panvel-Pen-Mahad-Poladpur (approx 6 hours).

 

Deekshabhoomi is a sacred monument of Buddhism at the place where Babasaheb Ambedkar converted to Buddhism. It is famous for its architectural beauty and historical importance. It is also one of the main centers of tourism in India.

 
Nawegaon Dam -

Nawegaon Dam is the most popular forest resort of Vidarbha. There is a deer park near the dam as well called Dr. Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, along with three fascinating gardens and children's park.

 
Ramtek

Ram temple, which is more than 600 years old and Jain Temple, which has some beautiful carvings and sculpture are the main attractions of Ramtek. Ramtek is at a distance of 50 km from Nagpur. Lord Rama, Sita and Laxman were believed to be visited this place. Kalidas composed Meghdoot in this place.
