Role of Principal Chief Electrical Engineer

Principal Chief Electrical Engineer (PCEE) is the technical & administrative head of the Electrical Department in Central Railway. He looks after all the activities of planning, maintenance & operation of the all Electrical and Diesel assets with the assistance of other Heads of the Department and Officers posted in HQ, divisions and workshops.

PCEE also functions as Electrical Inspector to the Government as defined in Section 36(1) of Indian Electricity Act- 1910, in respect of all high voltage electrical installations and equipment owned by the Railways.
