Sr. DMM / BB is the officer in-charge of Materials Management Branch in Mumbai Division.
a. Materials Management Branch in Mumbai division is engaged in compliance of non-stock demands – primarily required for train operation, rolling stock maintenance, passenger amenity items, items required for ART & ARMU, cleanliness, touch and feel items as per powers delegated in SOP through e-tendering.
b. Monitoring of timely supply of stationery items to various offices / units in the division.
c. Monitoring generation of P/way scrap and other released / condemned items of scrap and arranging expeditious disposal through e-auction sale by Sr.DMM.
d. e-tendering and e-sale as per existing guidelines have been implemented.
e. Miscellaneous items as and when entrusted by DRM/ADRMs..
f. Service tender available over GeM.
DIVISIONAL STORES DEPOT:
Divisional Stores Depot has been set up in the year 2018, inside the campus of existing Genl. Stores Depot, Currey Road. It ensures the timely availability of materials required for all stock items required for train operation, rolling stock maintenance, signalling and track maintenance, passenger amenity items, items required for ART & ARMV, cleanliness items, safety items. The depot has started stocking general items. Already, near about approx.200 headings have been opened and about 130 headings are under the process of opening.
