SETTLEMENT CASES : 

 

Personnel Department of the Pune Division started to pay the settlement dues of the retired employees working over the Division from 01.05.2000 o­nwards.  The employees retired o­n superannuation are getting their settlement dues o­n the last working day of that month.  In the year 2010-11 total 285 employees are retired o­n superannuation.  Approximately 150 cases of other than normal, death, medically unfit, voluntary retirement are accrued and out of that 135 cases are already settled and 15 cases are under process.  Settlement payment are made through EFT.  To solve the grievances of retired staff, a Pension Adalat is conducted twice a year in the month of June and December.  The arrears of the 6th Pay Commission and Revision of Pension to the retired staff from 01.01.2006 o­nwards are already done.

 

  PREM MEETINGS :

 

‘Participation of Railway Employees in Management’ meeting is held quarterly o­n Pune Division.  The meeting is held to facilitate meaningful and effective participation of workers in the management process and to evaluate the functioning of railways and exchange data and ideas o­n ways and means for improving the efficiency and viability of the enterprise.  The constituents of PREM Group are office bearers of recognized unions, members of RPF Association, members of Central Railway Promotee Officers’ Association and Central Railway Officer’s Association are.

 

     COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENTS :-

 

All Compassionate Appointment cases are being cleared within three months o­n average basis from the date of application. S&WI are deputed in their respective sections for verification of applications of compassionate ground appointment. C.G. appointment is given to spouse/wards of the deceased/medically unfit/medicallydecatogorised or missing employees. S&WI also provide funeral advance to the family of the deceased employee and fill up the settlement papers of the employees.

 

ABSORPTION OF MEDICALLY DE –CATEGORIZED STAFF :

 

Medically de-catogorised staff are kept o­n supernumerary post till they are offered alternative post without causing financial loss to the employee. Cases are finalized within a month’s time and alternative posting is offered. If a employee opts to give voluntary retirement, his ward is given compassionate ground appointment in Gr’
D’ category if the employee has more than 5 years of service left.

 

      STAFF GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL :

 

 A centralized ‘Single Window Staff Grievance Cell’ is functioning o­n this Division.  o­ne Welfare Inspector and o­ne staff has been nominated to monitor the grievances received o­n day to day basis.    The details of grievance redressal are uploaded o­n the railnet site ‘www.centralrailwayonline.com’ and are updated regularly. o­ne S&WI is specially deputed to redress the grievance of the Running Staff. This exercise is personally monitored by DRM/Pune.
