HISTORY

As a first step, a Transportation school was established. The first Area school was opened at BINA on the GIP Railway. This school functioned at BINA from 1926 to 1962. Under the Unified and Centralized training system, in conformity with the recommendations of Training School Committee 1961, the Railway School of Transportation at BINA was shifted to Bhusawal in 1962. Subsequently the name was changed as “Zonal Railway Training Institute” as per directives of Hon'ble Union Minister for Railways during his visit on September 3, 2003.
