This section is responsible to provide such facilities through works, Machine & Plants program and getting their sanction from railway Board for every financial year. Works Programme | | | Under the Works Programme Railway Board Lays down financial limits under various Plan Head, within which Railway Administration are making out their works. Under this programme various works proposals are called from the respective divisions/units in enhancing facilities /requirements/development. Depend upon the cost of the proposals, after obtaining competent authorities sanction same will be executed. The nodal department is Civil engineering department. | | | | | | Machinery & Plant Programme | | | Under this programme, the machinery & plants required on additional as well as replacement account are being demanded. In this programme, Railway Board allocate zonalwise funds. Chief Mechanical Engineer is the nodal officer for compilation and submission of M&P programme received from various department/divisions/units. | | | | | | Rolling Stock Programme | | | Rolling Stock Programme is prepared for procurement of various types of Rolling Stock i.e. engine, coaches & wagons are being procured and also the major assembly connected with this running stock are also being processed through Railway Board.
