Electric Loco Shed Bhusawal, established in 1968, is a pioneer in locomotive maintenance on Indian Railways. Strategically situated on the Mumbai - Howrah & Mumbai - Delhi main lines, our shed ensures the optimal performance of various locomotive types, including the current maintenance of WAG-5, WAG-7, WAP-4, and WAG-9H locos.
About Us
Brief History
- 1968: Shed establishment with an initial capacity of 55 locomotives. The first WAG-4 locomotive (Loco No. 20956) was maintained.
- 1970: Commissioning of the first pit wheel lathe.
- 1973: First WAM-4 locomotive (Loco No. 20437).
- 1976: Introduction of the first lab testing facility.
- 1986: First WAG-5 locomotive (Loco No. 21142).
- 2005: First WAP-4 locomotive (Loco No. 22628).
- 2006: First WAG-7 locomotive (Loco No. 27792).
- 2018: First WAG-9 locomotive (Loco No. 31405).
- 2023: Installation of a new CNC pit wheel lathe.
