vElectrical (General Services) Branch of Mumbai Division caters for supply of electricity to stations, service buildings, sheds, workshops, maintenance sidings, staff colonies, hospitals etc. including maintenance of general services assets e.g. sub-stations, AC plants, water coolers, escalators, lift, DG sets, (Solar+Wind) mill, Solar Plant and other electrical assets.
vThere are 107 railway stations which are 100% electrified.
v89sub-stations with 158 transformers of various capacities with vast network of underground cables distribution system to feed the electric power to all installations of Mumbai Division.
vThe required power is purchased from local electricity authorities at 35 Nos. HT connections & 542 Nos. LT connections, in addition to power taken from Traction Distribution department through 22 KV /11 KV/ 2.2 KV network.
