Procedure of Booking


1.To book special trains/ coaches /saloons etc. on Full Tariff Rates party shall approach IRCTC site http// or contact Shri Ravikant Jangale onMobile No.9004082822 (Mumbai)

2.Booking of special trains/ coaches/salons etc. on Full Tariff Rates can be done by the General Public directly through IRCTC( Online or by visiting their office)Address of IRCTC office in Mumbai-GGM, IRCTC, West Zone, Main Line Building, 2nd Floor, Near CST Cafeteria, Central Railway, Mumbai-400001

3.Registration of special trains/ coaches /saloons etc. Shall be made minimum one month in advance & not beyond six month of the date of proposed journey.

4.The Security deposit for one coach is Rs 50,000/- and for special trains the Security Deposit for minimum of 18 coaches is to be paid.

5.On confirmation of programme by Railways, the fare has to be paid to IRCTC directly and final ticket will be handed over by IRCTC.

Note :- The fare shall consist of the following :-

a)The minimum distance for charging for special trains/coaches/saloons etc shall be 500 kms for outward /return journey separately

b)The fare shall be calculated on point to point basis in full adult fare in respective category of trains as the case may be of the concerned class on round trip basis.

c)Service charges will be levied only on the basic fare.

d)Empty haulage charges shall be levied for the carrying capacity of coaches for the actual empty haulage of rakes/coaches or minimum haulage for 200 kms, whichever is higher.

e)Detention charges shall be levied for detention of special trains/coaches at the request of the party at the journey commencing station intermediate station or destination station @ Rs 900/- per coach per hour.

f)Two Brake vans are mandatory for special train on FTR which will be charged at carrying capacity of the sleeper class coach with sleeper class fare.

g)GST is applicable on higher Classes ( ie except Sleeper Class and General Second Class)

Payment all charges shall be made in full, 48 hrs in advance of the departure of the train.

After completion of the journey, the folder/receipt in original shall be deposited in IRCTC office within 30 days of completion of the journey to process the refund of Security Deposit.

Please note that the above instructions are the brief of the procedure for FTR booking. For all purposes the instructions given by IRCTC site will prevail.
